Author’s ’7 Habits’ Fueled Business-Book Boom
Stephen Covey helped kick off a boom in business-management books with his 1989 best seller “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.”
Mr. Covey died Monday at age 79 from the effects of a bicycle accident he suffered in April.
“7 Habits” sold more than 20 million copies in 38 languages, according to the website of Mr. Covey, whose name rhymes with lovey. The book also spawned several sequels, and Mr. Covey parlayed his success into a career as a motivational speaker and management consultant.
